The Implementing SAFe® course prepares individuals to become a SAFe® Program Consultant (SPC). It covers how to lead Agile transformations using the Scaled Agile Framework and how to coach teams, train leaders, and launch Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
This course is ideal for Agile coaches, consultants, change agents, and leaders responsible for driving Agile transformation in large enterprises. It is also recommended for those who want to teach SAFe courses and become certified SPCs.
You’ll learn how to lead a Lean-Agile transformation, launch and support Agile Release Trains, and build and coach high-performing teams. You will also gain the skills needed to train SAFe® courses internally.
Upon successful completion of the course and passing the exam, you’ll earn the SAFe® Program Consultant (SPC) certification, which qualifies you to teach and certify others in SAFe practices.
The SPC exam is web-based and multiple-choice, with 60 questions to be completed in 120 minutes. A passing score is 75% (45 out of 60).
You should have at least 5 years of experience in software development, testing, business analysis, product or project management, and experience in Scrum.
You’ll be able to train internal teams, launch ARTs, and guide enterprise-level SAFe transformations. It also boosts your credibility as a change leader and Agile expert.
You can further your journey by becoming a SAFe® Fellow, exploring Lean Portfolio Management, or leading enterprise transformations in more strategic roles.
The course is typically delivered over 4 days (32 hours), led by certified SAFe® Program Consultants (SPCs), with interactive workshops, real-world case studies, and hands-on activities.
Yes, learners will receive a digital workbook, access to SAFe® resources, and exam preparation guides via the SAFe® Community Platform.
The exam is accessed online via the SAFe® Community Platform, typically within 30 days of course completion.
